The University of Khartoum Alumni Association North America UOKANA is a non profit organization registered in the USA and it’s membership governed by the current bylaws.
Section 1 Active members
(a) All graduates, former students, current students, and friends of University of Khartoum (U of K) may become members of the U of K Alumni Association (hereafter “Corporation” or “Alumni Association”) by paying the annual or life membership dues set by the Board of Directors.
(b) All persons who have completed one semester or two terms of work in any University program requiring at least two years for completion
(c) All persons who have received an advanced degree from the University
Section 2 Business Members
Any business/organization may become a member of the Association by paying the annual membership dues set by the Board of Directors.
Section 3 Honorary/Complimentary Members
A. Honorary Life Members
Any person, other than an alumnus or alumna, who has rendered distinguished service to the U of K may be elected by the Board of Directors as an “honorary” life member, and shall not be required to pay said dues.
B. Complimentary Life Members
Any alumnus or alumna who has rendered distinguished service to the U of K as selected by the Board of Directors. No complimentary life member shall be required to pay said dues
