UOKANA interim chairman
Abbas is the UOKANA co founder with other University of Khartoum graduates in USA, and is also the UOKANA interim chairman.

Abbas works for Geisinger as a critical and neurocriticalcare attending. He is a key faculty member of the critical care fellowship training program. Additionally, Abbas has facilitated transferring American based courses in critical care to Sudan, including Fundamentals of Critical Care Support for adults and pediatrics, Fundamental Disaster Management and Rural Trauma Team Development Course (RTTDC).

He was instrumental in bringing the Critical Care Ultrasound course, developed by the society of Critical Care Medicine, to Sudan January 2019.
